Dr. Merle Berger earned his medical degree from Western Reserve University, School of Medicine before completing his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio, in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Reproductive Endocrinology.
Dr. Berger has been in practice for over 35 years. He is one of the founders of Boston IVF and at one point worked as their Medical Director. Dr. Berger was also the former President of the Boston Fertility Society.
Dr. Berger has been teaching for as many years as he has been in practice. Currently, he is on staff at Harvard Medical School as an Associate Clinical Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology. He is also on staff at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Throughout his career, he has been teaching future doctors of all ages, researching the field of reproductive medicine, and caring for patients affected by infertility.
Dr. Berger plays tennis, sails, and enjoys cooking in his spare time.
